BELATED OCTOBER(?) MIX - ESSENTIALS FOR BINKY PART II

I had such a crazy October that I missed releasing an October mix.  I’m sure tons of you were crying in a corner and for that, I apologize.  I had every intention of creating a “Haunted House” edition featuring Miami Horror, Magic Wands, Black Ghosts, Deadmau5 and of course, Fake Blood, among others.  Next year.

Since I’m still busy, you get a mix I made in the summer for my little sis Hilary (aka Binky.  Aka The Bean.)  Its called Essentials for Binky Part II.   Hilly was touring with Madonna and needed some tunes for the road.  I kept adding more songs to the folder up through August.  Some of the selections are old favorites that I didn’t think Hilary had heard, but most are from 2009.  

So here’s a mix I made with love, for the best girl on the goddamn planet.  31 solid songs featuring: White Lies, YACHT, Passion Pit, The xx, Shiny Toy Guns, Muse, Filthy Dukes, M83, The Airborne Toxic Event, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Bat for Lashes, The Bird and the Bee, Sigur Ros, Air France, Royksopp, Friendly Fires, Empire of the Sun, The Black Ghosts and The Gossip, plus a couple more.

PS - The picture on this mix stems from an unorthodox Christmas tradition in the St.Jean family.  Many Xmas eves we watch the South Park movie and sing the “Uncle Fucker” song.  Hilary & I especially love the Satan/Saddam relationship and annoy everyone by rewinding the parts with Saddam. 

You could say “Uncle Fucker” is our “Good King Wenceslas”  :)
